We are offering jobs to construction workers and construction carpenters who have the skills work on house projects. Carpenters, plumbers, formworkers, steel constructors, builders welcome!

We are offering jobs to builders; carpenters; formworkers; steel constructors; plumbers. . During the winter season the projects are mainly in Reykjavik and the surrounding areas. However, during the summer season there are ssignments in otjer locations. Therefore, either accommodation is provided or traveling is prearanged with all the costs of transport, food and accommodation are covered by the employer. Starting salary is described as clearly as possible, but at the moment the krona is stabilizing and the salary is a little higher. YOur salary will be subject to increase based on level of skills or if you need more training, subject to negotiation and increase after the first 4 weeks.

If travelling by plane you will be picked up striaght from the airport upon arrival!

  • Job requirements
    • minimum 10 years of previous construction experience with knowledge as a carpenter formwork, verandas, facades and terraces.
    • good attitude
    • ability to read construction drawings / blueprints

    • English B1 level
  • Responsibilities
    • Assembling of houses, formwork, verandas, roof structures, facade and roof coverings from sheet metal
    • Working with woodworking machines and hand power tools.
    • Work with construction mortars, adhesives, plasters, cement and the like.
    • Technical literacy to read drawings and instructions.
    • Interior and exterior work
    • Working in teams
  • Remuneration
    • Salary - 3900 euros gross basic salary, about 3000 net, from 11% monthly on top based on number of hours. The company offers an opportunity for development and a salary increase after proving skills and a loyal attitude.
    • Icelandic employment contract
    • Working hours -40 to 52 per week or 208 per month (Regarding working hours, for this salary, workers must work this number of hours - 208 for the whole month, if this number is exceeded, then additional pay is charged)
    • Working days per week - 5
    • Holiday
    • Uniforms, work clothes, equipment and tools of all kinds provided
    • Accommodation - 350 to 420 euros per month, (65,000 - 67,000 kroner per month) according to your choice, you can provide it yourself
    • Transport to Iceland - covered by the applicant.(Option of advance payment up to 4 days after arrival according to your wish and need)
  • Documents

    • Biography in English or profile, maybe linkedin with clearly described construction experience

    • 2 previous employers to contact for references or 2 referrals

    • Construction related diploma or certificate or minimum 10 years related experience.

    • NB! If you have the license to drive construction equipment, the starting salary will be 30,000 kroner higher.

    • Criminal record certificate based on your contry of citizenship

    • Drinving license cat.B is considered advantage, but not mandatory
