We are recruiting on behalf of our clients windows and doors installers to work in the Dublin area on seasonal and year round contracts, immediate start after approval

  • Job requirements
    • Prior experience in installing windows/doors in both pvc and aluminium. Should have knowledge in construction (e.g., glazing, carpentry, or construction) is often highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience installing windows and doors.
    • Must enjoy phisical work as fitting windows/doors is quiet energetic.
    • English A2 level is a must
    • Be prepared to be apart of a team
    • EU passport, Swiss passport or Irish immigartion status /permit

    Qualifications and Certifications

    • Leaving Certificate (or equivalent): Some employers may require basic education like a secondary school qualification.
    • Relevant Trade Qualification: While not always required, having a qualification in carpentry, glazing, or construction can be an advantage.
    • Safe Pass: A valid Safe Pass certification is required to work on construction sites in Ireland. This ensures workers understand health and safety protocols.
      Manual Handling: Completing a Manual Handling course is necessary, as window installation involves lifting heavy materials.
    • Working at Heights Training: If the job involves working on multi-story buildings, training in working at heights may be required.
    • Drivers Licence:Must have equal to an Irish B licence.

    Skills

    • Technical Skills: Ability to install various types of windows (uPVC, aluminum, timber) to high standards.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Being able to troubleshoot issues during installation.
    • Attention to Detail: Ensuring windows are fitted accurately and aligned correctly.
    • Measurement and Math Skills: Taking accurate measurements is crucial for proper installation.
    • Customer Service Skills: Installers often interact with customers directly, so good communication and interpersonal skills are important.
    • Driving: Ability to drive company van if required.
  • Language
    • English at least A2 level
  • Responsibilities
    • Material Selection: Choose the appropriate type of door or window based on customer requirements (e.g., wood, aluminium, uPVC, or composite).
      Cutting and Shaping: If needed, cut or shape doors, window frames, and glass to fit the designated spaces accurately.

    • Functionality Check: Test doors and windows to ensure they open and close smoothly, without sticking or misalignment.

  • Remuneration
    • Salary - 15 euro gross per hour or 600 euro gross pay weekly
    • Standard Tax/Deduction - local labor contract
    • Working hours per week - 40 - possible extra
    • Working days per week - 5
    • Holiday pay
    • Accommodation - free of charge
    • Meal - not provided
    • Tickets or transportation costs to Ireland - covered by the candidate
