What is the the program about?
Internship / Professional Career Training USA is an exchange program, regulated by the Department of State, which gives an opportunity to students, recent graduates and youth professionals from all around the world to gain practical experience in their field of study or their chosen career field, while working as interns in an US company and to experience American culture and way of life.


To participate in the program you need to have an arranged placement prior to your arrival in the US. This is not a work program and it is required that the position is closely related to your education or your chosen carrier path, where you have some experience already. The position has to require at least medium level of professional skills and to show progress plan during the course of the program.
Interns/ Trainees cannot work in unskilled or casual labor positions, in positions that require or involve childcare or elder care or in any kind of position that involves medical patient care or contact. Nor can interns work in positions that require more than 20 percent clerical or office support work.
The maximum duration of the program is 12 months for Intern category and 18 months for Professional career training, based on specific application. The program runs year-round and has no fixed start and end date. The dates and the duration are agreed and determined by the participant and the host company.

  • Who is eligible to participate?

    INTERNSHIP USA 

To be eligible to participate in the Internship USA program you must meet the following criteria:

  • To be full time post-secondary student or recent graduate, within 12 months of graduation
  • To have or to be able to secure a position, closely related to your field of study
  • To be between 18 and 30 years old.
  • To have excellent English skills
  • To be willing to visit USA and to get familiar with American culture and way of living, as well as to be able to adapt to American culture

CAREER TRAINING USA


To be eligible to participate in the Career Training USA program you need to meet the following criteria:

  • To be between 20 and 40 years old.
  • To have an University degree and at least one year of prior related professional experience, or to have at least 5 years of experience in your chosen carrier occupation.
  • To have or to be able to secure a position, closely related to your field of study or career occupation.
  • To be willing to visit USA and to get familiar with American culture and way of living.
  • To have excellent English skills.

How much does it cost?

INTERNSHIP (self-arranged)
internship - considerably cheaper option, applicable for applicants who are willing to find their own desired placement offer. Price is formed based on lenght of the assignment.


INTERNSHIP PROVIDED BY SPONSOR

  • 6 months: $2350$
  • 12 months: 3100$
  • Non-hospitality 12 months: 3800$

The price includes:

  • The issuance of the DS-2019/work permit required for all J-1 visa applicants,which allows to work and live legally in the US, and a full coverage medical insurance with a limit of $100 000 for the entire program period.
  • Full administrative service and support with preparation and submitting of all required documents and forms, including visa application and visa interview scheduling.
  • Online orientation, participant handbook, travel arrangements, ongoing support during the program, and 24/7 emergency line.

Additional expenses:

  • Visa interview fee, payable to the US embassy in the amount of $160.
  • SEVIS fee, required by the Department of State in the amount of $180.
  • Plane ticket.
  • how can you pay?

Usually the program is paid in two steps: a deposit, with which you are granting a place in a program program. The rest of the amount is due once you have a received and accepted a job offer.
For your convenience we offer other payment options:

  • It’s up to you on how to pay the fees. You can do it in one of our offices in cash, dollars or leva. You could also pay with debit or credit card. If it more convenient for you can do a bank transfer or even pay online. Whatever suits you best.

With your tax refund


If you have already participated in the Work and Travel program, regardless of the agency you have traveled with you can use you taxes from the previous summer to finance your next one even before having them in hand! Easy and convenient, just come to the office and bring your last paychecks.

How to find a placement with an US Host Company?
The program is available in two options:

  • Self-arranged – it is designed for participants, who already have or are willing to find independently a placement offer.
  • Job Placement – our partnership with some of the leading US sponsoring organizations gives us the opportunity to offer to our participants high-quality placements in the following fields: tourism, business, finance, IT technologies. For further information please contact our office.

    How it works?

ENROLLMENT
You have to register in the online based system of the US sponsoring organization and to pay a deposit, which amount will be determined based on the program option and duration you are applying for.

FINDING A PLACEMENT
If you are opting for self-arranged training position your employer will have to fill a training plan, either on a paper or online. Should you have chosen the pre-arranged option you will have to create a CV, a cover letter and in some cases a video in English. After the approval of your application a Skype interview will be scheduled either with the US sponsoring organization or with your prospective host company.

APPLYING FOR A VISA
After you have your training plan approved, the US sponsoring organization will issue your DS 2019 form, you will have to pay the remaining part of the program fee and the SEVIS fee and to apply for a visa.

DEPARTURE
The last step is to complete the pre-arrival online orientation, to arrange your flight to the US, where you will start to develop your professional career.
