To expand the procurement team, our client is seeking an experienced strategic buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving cost savings by carefully selecting suppliers for both food and non-food products, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You will conduct procurement discussions and negotiations, leveraging your extensive experience to strike the ideal balance between top quality and competitive pricing. 

About the Company:
Our client is an importer of food and non-food products for the hospitality wholesale sector. They deliver orders daily to hospitality wholesalers throughout Europe.

  • Job requirements
    • A completed HBO degree or equivalent experience and skills
    • Experience as a buyer in an FMCG environment
    • Excellent English proficiency
    • Strong commercial skills and strategic thinking
    • Results-oriented and goal-driven
    • Independent and skilled in negotiation
    • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships
  • Language
    • English or Dutch atleast B2 level
  • Responsibilities
    • Negotiating prices and delivery terms with suppliers
    • Building and maintaining a network of suppliers
    • Drafting and managing contracts and ensuring their compliance
    • Setting up framework agreements with suppliers
    • Monitoring the progress and quality of promised deliveries
    • Maintaining documentation for internal use
